Step 1: Press the ‘J’ key in the Develop module of Lightroom to see any shadow or highlight clipping in the image. fine tune if required.
Step 2: Click on the Soft proofing options in the Toolbar at the base of the develop module.
Step 3: Select a Destination color space, e.g. a printer profile or sRGB to emualte the space found on most mobile devices and monitors.
Step 4: Adjust the Saturation of any colours that fall outside the Destination gamut (using the Saturation sliders in the HSL panel) if you would like to restore more luminance detail in the out-of-gamut colours.
Step 5: Create a Proof Copy tha is optimised for your chosen destination space’
Top Tip: Choose ‘Other’ from the Profile options to add additional profiles to the list of options.
